The Board of Directors of New Hope Community Services Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Christina Lui as Executive Director, beginning April 15, 2024.
After conducting a rigorous process of reviewing applications and holding multiple stages of interviews with well-qualified candidates, Christina was selected unanimously by the Board, with full support of New Hope staff.
“Christina brings a wealth of experience from the organizations she has worked for in the past, both in donor engagement and in senior leadership,” said Justin Vaughan, Chair of the Board. “The Board is thrilled to welcome Christina to our organization.”
In her 15 years as a senior leader in various capacities, Christina has excelled at sharing vision and engaging stakeholders. She is a caring and highly relational leader who is also a gifted communicator and storyteller. She cares deeply about the marginalized and aims to cultivate an ethos of warm welcome, shared ownership, and community connection. These qualities and more make her the unmistakable choice to serve as Executive Director. The Board is confident that, under her leadership, New Hope will continue to build on its past success toward achieving its mission and vision.
“It’s a joy to enter the work of New Hope in its profound welcome and embrace of refugees,” said Christina Lui. “I’m deeply committed to justice and hospitality, and I’m excited to bring my experience and skills to New Hope and to guide it into its next stage of growth.”
The Board further wishes to thank Mindy Kozloff for serving as Acting Managing Director during this transition period. Mindy has done a tremendous job in leading New Hope during the search process, and we are delighted that Mindy will continue as Director of Programs, being a driver for the intentional community that New Hope is best known for.
